wmp: good charlotte, my bloody valentine

the past weeks have been pretty un-eventful. t'was CS's birthday celebration at KW's place. i spend valentines night at home playing the sims 2; my 'fortress' is somewhat done but i seem to have lost the motivation to carry on now. t'was a was some sort of heritage tour organised in line with civil defense day where we went down to changi chapel/museum, clark quey and the supreme court. it was intersting on the whole.

apart from these days, life was as usual.

the mood for the chinese new year kicked started last friday during the celebrations down at plc. t'was a jog but i joined the walking group because of my bad knee. we watched 'remember the titans' back in the conference room. had lunch. and then i got the grand prize for the lucky draw suprisingly. so i brought quite a hefty hamper home. now i seriously needa lay off the 'ba gua's.

on the eve we went over to my cousin's new apartment. a very joyful gathering as always. we stayed up late playing cards, a tradition that will probably carry on for the generations to come. and then came the usual routines of visiting in the very hard morning. we went over to my paternal side in the late morning and it was nice to see my grandmother again and hear her hearty laughs.

our family came back again after an afternoon back at home. it was another one of those nights. i felt i could be dealt better cards. before we left, our aunt asked us to be back next evening and i guess she can be sure of that.

we bought supper on our way back after i drove my uncle home. until these few days, i never really had any sort of a talk with my nutty sister because of her late nights out. may this be a good turning point.
